CQC compliance is the ongoing work of running your service in line with the fundamental standards and being able to evidence it at any time. We help registered providers stay inspection-ready with audits, mock inspections, action plans, and support that continues long after registration day.
What CQC compliance means
Under CQC's single assessment framework, evidence about a service is gathered and updated continuously rather than only during a site visit. CQC can inspect or reassess a registered service at any time.
Providers who treat compliance as a one-off project tend to struggle when an assessment lands. Providers who keep audits, governance, and staff understanding current tend to do well, because the evidence is already there.
What we cover
How it works
We review your service against the five key questions and CQC's quality statements, on site or remotely.
You get a written report that prioritises the gaps that matter most.
We help you close the gaps, from documentation through to staff understanding.
We rehearse the inspection experience so it holds up under real scrutiny.
We check in on a schedule that suits your service, so compliance stays current between inspections.
What to expect
Inspectors do not only read your policies. They check whether staff know them, whether your audits lead to action, and whether your governance would have caught a problem before they did.
A first audit gives you a clear, honest picture of where your service stands. A rolling review keeps that picture accurate as your service, the regulations, and national guidance change.
FAQ
CQC compliance means running your service in line with the fundamental standards and the quality statements in CQC's single assessment framework, and being able to evidence that at any time. It covers safe care, effective care, a caring culture, responsive services, and well-led governance.
CQC does not publish a fixed inspection interval and can inspect or reassess a service at any time, often prompted by risk information, complaints, notifications, or the time since the last assessment. Under the single assessment framework CQC also updates evidence between site visits, so compliance has to be maintained continuously.
A mock inspection is a rehearsal of a real CQC inspection, in which a consultant reviews your evidence and questions your registered manager and staff as an inspector would. It shows where your service is strong and where answers or documentation fall apart under pressure, before it counts.
Yes, we support providers responding to a draft inspection report, a proposed rating, a requirement notice, or a warning notice. We help you check the factual accuracy of the report, build a credible action plan, and evidence the improvements CQC expects.
We offer both. Some providers want a single baseline audit or a pre-inspection review; others want a rolling engagement with scheduled check-ins, audit support, and someone to call when something changes.
Registration support gets you through the application to become a registered provider, while compliance consultancy is about staying within the standards and evidencing it once you are operating. Many providers use registration support first and move onto compliance support after their service opens.
